GYANDOOT

Introduction

The Gyandoot Samiti, with the help from Member of Parliament, has established 34 kiosks at the high schools and higher secondary schools. The Samiti is providing them local educational contents through the server. The schools are also accessing the Internet for other educational contents. Each school is having an e-club to promote activities related to IT among the rural students.

This initiative of the Samiti has been named Shiksha Gyandoot. It is meant for the benefit of both students and teachers to foster the motto of providing good quality education to all.

Lot of perseverance has gone into the development of the content for this purpose. A team of experts from the field has been working for adding value to it. At present the Samiti provides the following facilities to the students:

Programmes

Career guidance: This site provides the students of various streams (PCM, PCB, Commerce, Arts etc.) with the various options open to him after completion of his XII board.

Pathyakram: This site contains the syllabuses of various subjects taught in class X and XII. It also contains question bank on various subjects to help the students prepare better for the exams.

Chhithi: This option allows the student to interact with other schools, soochnalayas etc. and discuss their problems and experiences.

General Awareness: This site contains a question bank, which allows the student to access his/her general awareness.

Prerak Prasang: This site contains moral stories to help the students develop good moral values.

Jiwaniya: This site contains biographies of great leaders in various fields of our country. Presently it includes the biographies of all the Prime ministers and Presidents of our country besides scientists & mathematicians like Aryabhatt, Vikram Sarabhai etc.

Sawaliram se poochiye: This site provides an opportunity to schoolchildren to ask inquisitive questions regarding career counseling or any other field from Sawaliram at no cost. A team of experts at the district headquarter provide the answers within three days. The facility is created to promote inquisitiveness, ability to inquire and scrutinize among the school children.

The path of education and learning is an unending exercise. But we are happy to say that we have made a beginning. We look forward to your suggestions and comments for further improvement and development of the contents.
